Hello, my name is Samuel Peška
Vltava River has been part of my life since I was a child. I grew up paddling in Prague, later became a Czech paddleboarding champion, studied Art History at Charles University, and today I use all of that to create a different kind of Prague experience. Active, cultural and deeply connected to the city.
My Story
My connection to the Vltava River did not start as a business idea. It started when I was 7 years old, training on the river as a young canoe athlete in Prague.
The Vltava has shaped my life for as long as I can remember. I was born beside it in Podolí, under Vyšehrad, and I still live close to the river today. I grew up on this water. Training, racing, and learning its rhythm through every season. Over time, it taught me to see Prague from a perspective most visitors never get to experience: from the river itself.
As an athlete, I became a Czech youth champion in canoeing, later a Czech National Champion in stand up paddleboarding, and placed 7th at the World Championships.
But my background is not only sport.
I studied Art History at Charles University in Prague, which gave me a deeper understanding of Prague’s architecture, symbolism, history and cultural identity. Then I became deeply interested in marketing, branding and experience design. Today, alongside SUP Prague, I also help selected health clinics and experts in the Czech Republic build stronger brands and attract the right clients.
That combination became the foundation of SUP Prague.
For me, the river is not just a place for paddling. It is a living line through the city. Connecting history, architecture, movement, nature and human experience.
Through SUP Prague, we have hosted more than 10,000 guests from around the world and created river experiences for international groups, schools, companies and premium clients, including groups connected with Abbott, Meta and Apple TV.
I also lecture at university (MUNI), where I focus on the connection between sport, tourism, branding and experience design.
What I bring to this experience is the combination of:
– a lifelong personal connection to the Vltava River
– high-level sports background
– academic knowledge of Prague’s history and art
– experience with international groups
– the ability to host, lead and tell stories in a way that feels natural, intelligent and memorable
For American guests, I would design curated Prague river storytelling experience. Calm, safe, active, cultural and personal.
The goal is simple:
not only to show guests Prague, but to let them feel Prague from the river.
